I'm Back! 87 Blue Hardtop

Hey All,

I have mostly been lurking the forum ever since my last Supra was written off.
I've been hoping to get another and that time is finally here!

On the weekend I picked up a 1986 N/A mkiii Supra from Matt (Smupra)

It made for an interesting trip, Matt and I met in Calgary.
On the way down I saw an identical blue pre 89 Supra, thou it wasn't in the greatest condition.

Once in Calgary I met up with Matt at Deer Foot Mall to see the Supra for the first time. After looking over the car, chatting for a few minutes and taking it for a quick ride I bought it for $3200
The car is beautiful and with only 125,000km I couldn't resist!

A few pics for your enjoyment.

I'll get some clean pics once spring rolls around, until then it's parked.

All in all I am VERY happy with this car.
It only needs a few minor things that I will address shortly.

I plan on enjoying the car as is for a while before I start doing anything to it. Guess we will see how long that lasts..

Enjoy! I know I will

Congrats on the purchase, she's in fantastic shape! If I had the space, I would have snapped it up.

If you're interested, I'll have a 1JZ swap for sale later this year...

Thanks, I'm glad I picked it up before you found the space

Right now I need to save up some cash before I spend much more on the car.
I was thinking of going 2J NA-T in the future but want to do bit of suspension work first.
If the price is right on that 1J I'd consider it, it would be a lot easier swap.

If you had a R154 and 1J bellhousing off that motor I would be interested in that!

Congrats on the purchase! The car looks to be in great shape... the wheel wells are flawless in the pictures.

See, I firmly believe that having a minty fresh Supra would make me feel horrible everytime I put a dent or scratch in it.

Mine gets a dent or scratch and I shrug and keep driving. I think the anxiety of having a really nice car would be too much for me.
