Race City opening night May 14 2010

Ryan and I went down to Race City with a few guys I know off CelicaTech. I didn't run my car (winter tires...), but I brought my camera.

Enjoy!

I thought this shot was kinda neat...

Ryan couldn't hook up through most of 1st and 2nd, but still ran a 13.5. He should stop complaining. :P

Yeah, these all look the same... I was trying to get the perfect blur. Also, Vipers are pretty cool lookin'.

I saw Ryan's car on the way from work today off John Laurie. Nice and shiney. 13.5 is fast, but what was is mph? Gotta be high.

110+. Had the boost turned down a bit - at full boost it runs a low 13 at almost 120. Hard to hook up though - 60 foots around 2.5 sec.

What rear tires are you using Ryan? Have you thought about using slicks? Or is this just a street car that sees the track a couple times a year?

I do autox, not drag - so I don't want to invest in drag slicks, plus they would need to be on 16" wheels to fit over the rear brakes

Kumho Ecsta XS - 180 trearwear. Very sticky around corners and for accelerating, but not so good on the greasy dragstrip at race city. The car isn't set up for drag racing anyways.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I prefer the corners over drag racing too. My car is slow as shit though.

What final drive ratio is in the diff?

3.73. With the size of tire I run, first maxes out at about 65 km/h, second at 100, third at 165ish and fourth around 225.
