Disconnecting Boost Sensor?

Hey folks,

Quick question, I've disconnected my stock boost gauge on my '91 mk3 supra with a swapped 1JZGTE (non VVTI). I would like to clean up my engine bay a bit by removing the Boost Sensor which gives the reading to the stock boost gauge. Does anyone know if the boost sensor provides readings for any other systems (i.e. ECU, timing, fuel etc). The 1J has another map sensor which is used for reading Air/Fuel ratios which is on the firewall...I'm not talking about that sensor.

Thanks!
