Fender roller

I saw there was a couple on Kijiji but they want $50, that will be my last resort, might be my only resort.

I appreciate the offer but i really need one for this week. I need to drive my car to the shop on friday.

It sucks, my rear tires only rub by 3mm (according to fender flare rub marks) so i was going to trim the flares inner edge but they also rub on the metal 4mm inner fender lip. The car is going in for some final wet samding and touch ups so if the paint cracks while bending i can get them touched up.

I just cut the metal on the fenders - the flares hide it anyways.

I ended up finding a fender roller from one of the members here who had an old ad for a rental. pretty easy tool to use, was actually fun to do.

Yeah no more tires rubbing. now to trim the flares. good thing the tires left some skid marks on the flares to identify the areas to trim.

Cutting was my plan B. was hoping to avoid it if possible.

Did you fold the lip tight against the inner wheel well quarter panel to remove it? I have thought about doing that, but wondered if prior to doing it, there was a compound to line the inside of the lip to prevent corrosion later on if moisture/dirt makes its way in between the lip and quarter.

The work-hardening of the metal being bent will cause a higher likelihood of corrosion as well.
